Mehrez is the first African player to be named the best player in the Premier League in the 2015/2016 season when he helped Leicester City to win the Premier League trophy.

5. Wahbi Khazri – Tunisia
The attacking midfielder is the captain of the Tunisian national team. He led Tunisia to a 4th placed finish at the 2019 African cup of Nations.
He currently stars for St Etienne in the French League.
