Ben Nasser scores in Champions League

Ismail Ben Nasser, the Algerian international, scored the only goal for his Italian team Milan against his hometown club Napoli, leading them to victory on Wednesday at the San Siro stadium in the first quarter-finals of the Champions League football.

Despite Napoli reaching the quarterfinals of the continental competition for the first time in its history, they played the match without Nigerian scorer Victor Osimhen, who suffered a muscle injury during his participation with his country in the last international window.

However, Napoli had won their last eight away matches in various competitions before Milan put an end to this series. Napoli is currently at the top of the Serie A standings and is expected to be crowned champions for the first time since 1990.

The seven-time defending champions Milan entered the match with high spirits against their southern rival after inflicting a harsh four-clean loss at home earlier this month in the domestic league. This is the first time the Italians have faced each other in the knockout stages since the Milan derby in the semi-finals of 2005.
