Morocco and Peru played out a goalless draw in a friendly at Atletico Madrid’s Metropolitano Stadium on Tuesday.
This game followed Morocco’s impressive victory over Brazil, which saw them win 2-1 in a friendly in Tangier on Saturday.
Despite the game being played at a frantic pace, with Morocco dominating possession and Peru looking to catch them on the counter, the match was marred by frequent stoppages.
Morocco’s Hakim Ziyech came closest to scoring, hitting the outside of the post on three occasions.
Prior to the game, there was an altercation between Spanish police and Peru players at the squad’s hotel in Madrid, after fans gathered outside to greet the team.
Additionally, a worker at the hotel where Morocco was staying was arrested for posting derogatory comments and racist slurs against the team on social media.
